Deeana left us September 17, 2011 at 3:15pm, while staying at the Hacienda Care Center in Livermore Ca. She passed away due to a long term illness which she battled vigorously for the last 5 years. Born to Joseph Anthony Pampena and Shirley Joan Upton on March 12, 1960, in Glendale California, Deeana was known to those who loved her as "Dee," "My Maria," and "Indie." Her family moved to Bakersfield, California, when Deeana was a small child. They then relocated to Lompoc, California, where Deeana attended Lompoc High School. She was a cheerleader and deeply involved in student activities while there. She grew up with her 2 older brothers, Joesph and Kevin and her younger siblings, Gina and Damian. From childhood she was very active in the performing arts: singing, dancing and her favorite art, acting, in any venue she could participate in. This passion fueled her studies at Pacific Coast Performing Arts, San Francisco State University and American Conservatory Theater. She finished all her educational goals by 1984. She worked in the entertainment Industry as a actress, vocalist, director, teacher, dancer, and stunt woman. When not taking on those roles, she found time to be an accountant on various films and TV programs; working for Paramount, Disney & Universal Studios. She also blessed many young people through her teaching activities at various Southern California schools. She met her husband Eric West Schullerts during the Christmas season 1992 and was married October 9, 1993. They had their only child, Abigail Rose Schullerts on August 14, 1995. They lived in Glendale, Santa Clarita, and currently in Dublin California. Deeana had a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was an excellent example to everyone. She lived a full life, always looking for opportunities to find ways to put others first. Because of this, she was very involved in the churches she attended; teaching, directing, acting and singing. She was also very involved in womens' ministries, always reaching out to those in need. She leaves so many behind. who miss her deeply; including her daughter, husband, her four siblings and both her loving parents.
